The work itself
A nurse practitioner here runs a clinic. You get the list, the budget and the decision-making authority, which is the part most NPs are promised and rarely given.
This is the top of the clinical ladder and the role where the work stops being about tasks and starts being about a population you are responsible for.
What you will actually do
- Run an autonomous clinic list, including consultation and follow-up
- Assess, diagnose and treat within your scope and competence
- Prescribe using the supplementary and independent prescribing budget
- Refer, escalate and review complex presentations
What we need from you
- NMC registration as a Nurse Practitioner with a completed MSc
- Current non-medical prescribing qualification (V300 or V150)
- Evidence of independent practice and service development
